The State Executive Council approved the start of procedures to domesticate the National Policy on Women's Economic Empowerment in February 2026, aligning the national framework with local realities to reduce gender disparities.
At the same meeting the council approved drilling 3,000 free tube wells, 1,000 in each senatorial zone, to support dry-season farming.
