Governor Radda commissioned the connection of the Katsina State Institute of Technology and Management (KSITM) to the national grid in February 2026. The institute had run entirely on diesel for about ten years and had built up more than ₦50 million in diesel debts.
The Special Adviser on Power and Energy said bids for the job ranged from about ₦2 billion to ₦1.2 billion, but the project was completed for ₦270 million. The campus is now electrified from the administrative block to classrooms and staff quarters.
