Governor Radda launched a fleet of operational vehicles for the Katsina State Safety and Road Traffic Authority (KASROTA) in May 2026, including enforcement units, recovery trucks and a mobile operational unit.
The governor said the fleet will strengthen traffic enforcement and help keep towns clean and orderly as the urban renewal programme continues.
Since 2023 the authority has been rebuilt: ten sub-regional command offices were set up, 304 marshals recruited and trained, three operational vehicles procured and six patrol vehicles repaired. Solar power was installed at its headquarters, and uniforms, logistics and welfare support were provided.
The magazine records ₦280 million for vehicles and uniforms, ₦23.26 million for training and ₦28.34 million for a Peugeot Land Trek, and reports fewer road traffic offences as enforcement became more visible.
