30 hybrid buses and a new maintenance depot
A purpose-built depot has been constructed to assemble and service 30 hybrid buses approved for students and commuters.

Hybrid buses approved
The State Executive Council approved the procurement of 30 hybrid buses in 2025. In June 2026 Governor Radda inspected the newly constructed Katsina State Hybrid Buses Maintenance Depot, built to house, maintain and eventually assemble them.
The buses are intended for students, daily commuters and the general public, as part of the administration's push for lower transport costs and cleaner, energy-efficient transport.
