Governor Radda launched the 2026 fertiliser sales and distribution programme in Malumfashi in April 2026, at a subsidised price of ₦25,000 per bag.
Distribution runs through all 6,652 polling units: 60 bags per unit in Funtua zone, 50 in Katsina zone and 45 in Daura zone, plus 10 bags each for ten large-scale farmers per ward. The state says this structure removes middlemen and reduces diversion.
The governor said over 3,000 tube wells are being drilled free of charge, 4,000 solar-powered pumps were distributed the previous year and a further 4,000 petrol irrigation pumps were provided across the 361 wards.
