Katsina Green Growth Agenda (KAGGA)
A 2025 blueprint pledging 30% of the budget to climate resilience, built on climate-smart farming, restoration, renewables and green industry.
30%
Budget for climate resilience
Launched in April 2025, KAGGA is the state's roadmap for combining economic growth with ecological protection. Its four pillars are climate-smart agriculture, ecosystem restoration, renewable energy and green industrialisation.
The state pledged to allocate 30% of its budget to climate resilience, and it scales up drip irrigation, drought-resistant crop varieties and agroforestry. In November 2025 Governor Radda presented Katsina at COP30 as a model for Africa's green transition.
