400 tractors and 10 combine harvesters for farmers

Under the Katsina State Sustainable Platform for Agriculture (KASPA), the state deployed over 400 tractors with full accessories, 10 combine harvesters and 1,000 hand planters.

Ploughing costs ₦50,000 per hectare, and government covers 50 per cent. In total, ₦2.5 billion was invested in modernising farming.

The anniversary magazine puts mechanisation spending at ₦21.77 billion, which delivered 400 tractors with full accessories, 2,000 hand planters and 10 combine harvesters to farming communities.
