In April 2026 Governor Radda opened two Stabilization Centres, in Daura and Baure, and 60 Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) sites across 12 LGAs: Funtua, Danja, Malumfashi, Ingawa, Bindawa, Dutsi, Kusada, Charanchi, Rimi, Mani, Mashi and Kankia.
The centres give free treatment to children with severe acute malnutrition, while the OTP sites bring early detection and treatment to communities that previously had no such services. The Ministry of Health said the governor approved ₦700 million in counterpart funding for the World Bank-supported ANRIN programme, and a mobile court was approved to prosecute anyone diverting therapeutic food.
The magazine records ₦504 million paid as counterpart funding for nutrition commodities for vulnerable groups.
