By February 2026, 268 primary health centres had been upgraded across the state's 361 wards, and ₦26.7 billion had been deployed to healthcare infrastructure.
Some PHCs have been rehabilitated to general hospital standard. In year one, upgrades began at Charanchi and Faskari to turn their health centres into general hospitals, and over 100 health workers were recruited, including doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists and laboratory scientists.
The anniversary magazine reports ₦13.45 billion spent constructing, upgrading and equipping 146 primary health centres, so that every LGA has at least four functional centres.
