₦31.8bn Zobe Water Supply Phase 1B
A long-awaited pipeline network to bring water from Zobe Dam to Karofi-Radda, Kankia, Batagarawa and over a dozen communities.
Zobe Dam was completed in 1983, but its potential to supply millions of people was never fully used. Governor Radda flagged off the ₦31.8 billion Zobe Water Supply Phase 1B to change that.
The network is designed to serve communities including Karofi-Radda, Kafin Soli, Tafashiya, Kankia, Koda-Charanchi, Yarranda, Tashar Albasa, Are-Cika Koshi, Faduma, Tudun Kaadir, Rijiya Mai Siminti, Lambar Rimi, Abukur, Tashar Bala and Batagarawa. The contract was awarded to Mutual Commitment Company Limited, and the project aligns with the World Bank-supported SURWASH programme.
