Phase VI approved cost
The Katsina State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency completed 17 multi-year projects (2022/2023, Phase V) and 13 emergency flood control projects in 2023: 30 sites across the Katsina, Funtua and Daura zones.
Phase VI (2024–2025) covers 36 projects, 12 in the Katsina zone, 11 in Funtua and 13 in Daura, at an approved cost of ₦4.44 billion.
For the European Investment Bank-backed NEWMAP project, the state deposited ₦1 billion in counterpart funding in August 2023 and was awaiting EIB disbursement.
