For the first time since the state's creation, the Katsina State Bureau of Statistics compiled a State Gross Domestic Product covering 2018 to 2023, and is updating it to 2025. It ran the maiden 2024/2025 General Household Survey, a Multidimensional Poverty Index survey for vulnerability mapping, a census of Qur'anic and Tsangaya schools and street beggars, and a comprehensive income and expenditure survey.
It back-tracked the State Statistical Yearbook for 2022–2025, projected the population from 2006 to 2030, set a Minimum Expenditure Basket, built a digital statistics archive and a kilometre chart of LGAs, and ran climate and conflict baseline assessments in all 361 wards.
It also inaugurated the State Consultative Committee on Statistics, hosted the 2025 First Biannual National Consultative Committee on Statistics meeting, supported the 2026–2028 MTEF, developed ethical clearance for researchers and NGOs, joined work on the State IDP Policy, and ran a data bootcamp for 3,500 undergraduates.
