Policy on Safety, Security and Violence-Free Schools

Katsina domesticated the national safe-schools policy, launched by the Minister of Education in May 2026, to protect learners from violence and kidnapping.

The Minister of Education, Maruf Olatunji Alausa, launched the Katsina State Policy on Safety, Security and Violence-Free Schools in May 2026, at the commissioning of the Radda Model Smart School.

The policy domesticates the national framework so that schools remain protected spaces, free from violence, disruption and kidnapping. The minister commended the state for adopting it promptly.
