Lower renewal fees for private schools
Annual renewal fees fell from ₦210,000 to ₦140,000 and revalidation from ₦200,000 to ₦120,000, to help private schools keep teachers and jobs.

Following a request by the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, the State Executive Council approved a downward review of fees in July 2026.
The annual renewal fee was cut from ₦210,000 to ₦140,000 and the revalidation fee from ₦200,000 to ₦120,000, to help private schools preserve jobs, retain qualified teachers and keep education affordable.
