In February 2026 Governor Radda flagged off the distribution of food, non-food items and building materials to victims of the 2025 floods, coordinated by the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
The distribution reached 1,500 vulnerable persons and 494 identified flood victims across 25 LGAs. The governor said the state is also investing in drainage, early warning and community awareness to reduce the impact of future floods.
Across its three years, the State Emergency Management Agency gave relief materials to 10,450 flood-affected people and 7,128 bags of grain to displaced people, flood victims, women and vulnerable groups. Over 2,000 flood victims received further relief and cash support.
