It is with immense joy and gratitude that I stand before you today on this auspicious occasion of the Hawan Sarki, a historic and culturally significant event that brings us together in celebration, unity, and appreciation of our rich heritage.
First and foremost, I wish to express my profound appreciation to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Katsina, Alh. (Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman for his unwavering commitment to upholding our traditions and fostering unity among our people. Your Highness, your leadership and guidance continue to be a beacon of wisdom for our State, and we are truly grateful.
To our esteemed ambassadors and dignitaries, I extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to the historic city of Katsina. Your presence here today signifies the spirit of friendship, collaboration, and mutual respect that transcends borders. We deeply appreciate your commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties with Nigeria and, in particular, with our great State. The presence of distinguished representatives from various countries is a testament to the enduring cultural and economic potential of our beloved Katsina.
The Sallah Durbar is not merely a festival; it is a testimony to our deep-rooted culture, our resilience as a people, and our unwavering commitment to peace and harmony. The magnificent display of horsemanship, the vibrancy of our traditional attire, and the melodies of our folk music all reflect the beauty of our identity and the pride we take in our customs. This tradition, passed down through generations, serves as a bridge between our glorious past and our aspirations for the future.
As we celebrate today, let us also reflect on the values of unity, tolerance, and mutual respect. Our State, like many others, has faced challenges, but through our collective efforts, we continue to strive for progress, development, and the well-being of our people. My administration remains dedicated to fostering an environment of security, economic prosperity, and infrastructural development, ensuring that Katsina State remains a beacon of hope and opportunity for all. We are investing in education to empower our youth, strengthening our healthcare system to ensure the well-being of our people, and enhancing security to protect lives and property. These are the pillars upon which our vision for a prosperous Katsina rests.
Furthermore, I call upon our esteemed guests and investors to explore the numerous opportunities that Katsina State has to offer. From agriculture to commerce, from education to tourism, we are a land of boundless possibilities. Our fertile land provides vast opportunities for agribusiness, our markets are vibrant hubs for trade, and our cultural heritage makes us a prime destination for tourism. We invite you to partner with us as we build a future of shared prosperity and sustainable growth. Let us work together in fostering investments that will not only benefit our people but also strengthen the bonds between our nations.
On this joyous occasion, I also extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah as we celebrate this blessed period. May the blessings of this season bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to our homes, our state, and our beloved nation, Nigeria. May this celebration inspire us to work towards a society built on justice, equity, and mutual understanding.
Once again, I thank His Royal Highness for hosting this magnificent event and for his tireless efforts in preserving our heritage. I also extend my gratitude to all our esteemed guests for honoring us with your presence today. Your participation enriches this celebration and reinforces the importance of cultural diplomacy in building stronger, more peaceful societies.
May Katsina State continue to thrive, may Nigeria flourish, and may our bonds of friendship remain ever strong.
Thank you, and Eid Mubarak!
