Flag-off of the Kasuwar Mata Funtua–Dandume rural road

Honorable Members of the State House of Assembly,

Honorable Commissioners here,

Secretary to the Government of Katsina State,

Party Leaders and Chieftains

Traditional Rulers,

Distinguished Guests,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am highly happy and elated to be here with you at this moment for the flag-off of road construction under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP). My good people of Funtua and Dandume you are quite aware that construction of roads requires huge capital investment, other resources and time consuming as such every effort made to actualize the target project needs to be appreciated.

Roads as known by everybody are the pillars for opening up and linking up of various stretches of communities such that the socio-economic activities of the beneficiaries will continue to be developed and improved.

Since this administration took over the leadership of the state, a lot of various road projects have been carried out while others are still on-going for the benefit and joy of our people whom we pledged to provide them with the dividends of democracy.

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, Critical rural infrastructure and urban renewal programs of this administration will continue to get a boost so that more positive developments would reach the door steps of every area of part of the state.

Road developments in particular spur economic growth and lessen the hardship in transporting goods and services and at the same time enhancing all year round community inter and intra-connectivity.

Let me therefore reassure that this administration will continue to do the needful by ensuring that the quality of the lives of the people is improved greatly and efficiently.

I want to call on the benefitting communities to jealously protect every government project cited in their areas for durability and longer usage. You should remember that a lot of money has been spent to ensure that this project comes into reality as such all parties involves should do all that they could to prevent vandals against destroying it.

I wish to commend our development partners and all other stakeholders for coming in to complement our effort in improving the quality of the lives of the rural communities in the provision of infrastructural facilities that will enhance their lives in all respects.

Ladies and gentlemen, I salute you for your support and cooperation that have helped us to be where we are today

To the Federal Government and our international donor partners, I highly commend you and doff my hat for the support and collaboration in making RAAMP a reality and benefiting our communities.

In conclusion, let us always bear in mind that we’ll continue to work together as a team to ensure the successful execution of our vision and mission.
