Flag-off of the 4.48 km Mai'Adua–Daba–Botsotsuwa rural road
Speech by the Governor
As prepared for delivery. The words spoken on the day may differ slightly.
I am beginning this speech with the full enthusiasm that this administration has been up and doing in adding smiles on the lives of the electorates having realized the importance of good governance and the delivery of the democratic dividends to the people.
I must therefore say without any contradictions that this administration has done so much in the provision of infrastructural facilities to the people at the grass root thereby adding values to the developments of their lives.
In any given society, the journey to the development and progress does not come without challenges, but despite such challenges however, we are able to weather the storm and reached where we are today through the support and cooperation as well as the prayers we received from the good people of the state.
Ladies and gentlemen let me quickly implore our traditional rulers, elders and all people of conscience to always put in their minds that leadership is about service delivery to the followers and the enhancements of their life styles.
It is under this premise that as a government our commitment towards ensuring a better life for all remains unshakeable. All members of the society are therefore encouraged to give their maximum support and cooperation towards our journey for the attainments of progress and development.
To the beneficiaries of this project I urge you to utilize it fully and at the same time protect it against misuse so that this and the upcoming generation would utilize it to the letter.
As the custodians of our diverse cultures and values, our traditional rulers need to be appreciated and commended for uniting the people and demonstrating high sense of responsibility in ensuring peace, love and understanding among the people.
Furthermore, I wish to assure you that the Mai’adua Market will be upgraded to a new and modern market. The work will soon start to enable the communities to feel a sense of belonging and boost their lively hood. In addition to this, arrangements have been completed for the award of contact for the construction of 11.157km Tadi-Tsabu road to boost the lives of the people.
This speech will not be completed without mentioning the noble contribution and cooperation we received from the Federal Government of Nigeria and the foreign partners.
I must therefore thank them for all that they have done to ensure our people remain progressive both in mental and physical capabilities.
Finally, I wish to express my profound appreciation to all those who found time to grace this occasion despite numerous pressing commitments. I wish all of you safe journey back to your respective destinations.
Thank you.
