Empowerment of women and youth by the Dan Amana Movement

Speech by the Governor

As prepared for delivery. The words spoken on the day may differ slightly.

It is with immense joy, deep conviction, and unwavering commitment to inclusive development that I stand before you today at this historic empowerment ceremony — where 1,200 less privilege women will each receive either Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000) cash or N20,000.00 with sewing machine and 100 youth will be empowered with brand-new motorcycles to support their livelihoods.

This is not just an event. It is a revolution — a quiet, powerful revolution of hope, dignity, and economic justice.

On behalf of the Government and People of Katsina State, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Dan Amana Movement for this noble and impactful initiative. Your vision, compassion, and dedication to uplifting our people, especially women and youth align perfectly with the core values of my administration: Empowerment. Inclusion. Transformation.

To the 1,200 women receiving cash grants today you are the heartbeat of Katsina State. You are mothers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, traders, and pillars of our communities. Too often, your labor goes unrecognized, your burdens unshared, and your potential untapped. But today, we say: We see you. We honor you. And we are investing in you.

This ₦50,000.00k (Fifty Thousand Naira Only) is not charity it is capital. It is seed funding for your dreams. Use it to expand your small businesses, restock your shops, buy sewing materials, purchase farm inputs, or invest in your children’s education. Let it be the spark that ignites a brighter future, not just for you, but for your families and your neighborhoods.

And to the 100 youth receiving motorcycles, you represent the energy, innovation, and resilience of our state’s future. These motorcycles are not just vehicles they are tools of mobility, enterprise, and independence. Whether you use them for ride-hailing services, delivery businesses, transportation, or logistics — you are now equipped to earn, to serve, and to lead.

This is economic empowerment in its rightest form: giving people the means to stand on their own feet, to create value, and to contribute to the economy of our state.

Let me be clear: Poverty is not destiny. Unemployment is not permanent. With the right support, the right mindset, and the right opportunities, every Katsina State indigene can rise.

That is why my administration continues to partner with organizations like Dan Amana Movement, because we believe in the power of collaboration. We believe in the strength of community-driven initiatives. And we believe that when we invest in our people, we invest in the future of Katsina State.

To the leaders of Dan Amana Movement, your compassion is commendable. Your action is transformative. May Almighty Allah reward you abundantly for touching lives and restoring hope.

To our women — go forth and multiply this support. Be wise stewards. Be bold entrepreneurs. Teach others. Lift others. Let your success become a testimony.

To our youth — ride with responsibility. Work with integrity. Let your motorcycle be a symbol of progress, not recklessness. Become employers, not just employees. Build legacies.

And to all beneficiaries — this is just the beginning. My administration will continue to create platforms for skills acquisition, access to finance, and market linkages. We will not rest until every willing hand in Katsina State is productively engaged.

Let today be remembered as the day hope was rekindled. The day dignity was restored. The day Katsina State said: Our people matter. Our future is now.

May Almighty Allah bless this program. May He bless every naira distributed and every motorcycle handed over. May He grant our women prosperity and our youth purpose.

Together, we are building a Katsina State where no one is left behind.

Thank you. God bless you all. God bless Katsina State.
