Commissioning of the 24.5 km Danja–Bazanga–Nahuce road

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today is one of my happiest days since I was sworn-in into office as the duly elected governor of Katsina State, this is because the administration has added happiness and smiles to communities of Danja, Unguwar Sa’I, Bazanga, Kokami and Nahuce having been without accessible road for decades until about 8 months ago the road construction was fully completed and put to use.

Ladies and gentlemen, this road project commences October 2022 and was fully completed in April 2024 after some technical adjustments which are familiar in road construction sub-sector.

Now that the road has been opened to traffic with economic and social activities spring up every now and then, it is my desire that the objectives of the project will be achieved squarely as long as bad eggs are not allowed to misuse the facility.

This road consists of different hydraulic structures and strategically fixed to give it a standard quality, durability and long lasting of usage on the part of the beneficiaries.

At this point, let me emphasize that opening up the rural communities and ensuring communities inter-connectivity will continue to attract government attention so that the social and economic activities of the populous where such project are located could easily be enhance and sustained.

I must admit that prior to completion of this road; the communities who are predominantly large scale wet season farmers as well as dry season farmers have had terrible nightmares in terms of transporting their farm produce to the markets.

Now that the project has come into reality, such nightmares are no longer tenable as the transportation of farm produce as well as goods and services has tremendously improved and enhanced squarely.

A lot of money has been invested to actualize this noble project, as such the entire stakeholders in thus area should do all that is possible to discourage its misuse so that for many years to come it will remain useful to all and sundry

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, as we are about to commission this project, I wish to also announce that this administration will remain focus in delivering more viable projects to the people across the length and the breadth of the state to ensure their well-being at all the times.

I wish to seize this opportunity to announce that apart from Danja-Bazanga-Nahuce road that is billed for commissioning in the next few minutes there are other ongoing road construction under the RAAMP office in which a lot of money is being invested for the welfare of the communities. The roads include;

• Kasuwar Chinko-Danmaigauta-Kirare- Nahuce with spur from Kasuwar Chinko to Gidan Taburi.
• Danja-Bye Pass from Sugar Company-Unguwar Mai Zuma.
• Kahutu-Danmaigauta.
• Danja-Unguwar Dugula-Danmahawayi.

There is also another road Danja-Dabai whose contract will soon be awarded by RAAMP.

When fully completed, the road projects will open-up the target communities there by boosting trade, commerce and other social activities to better the lives of the people

Permit me therefore to salute the effort and the courage of the federal government and international partners for adding values on the lives of the people in the state on so many aspects of humanity.

My commendation and appreciation go to all the stakeholders who contributed in no small measure towards actualizing this noble project,

Finally I urge the beneficiaries to use this road accordingly and within the confines of the laws
