Katsina at 38: the institutional reforms behind Building Your Future

New ministries, delivery agencies and oversight bodies form the framework for the Governor's policy blueprint.

Marking the 38th anniversary of Katsina State on 23 September 2025, the Governor's Senior Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, MS Ingawa, set out the institutional reforms behind the Building Your Future agenda.

They include a standalone Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, restructured ministries for lands, education, agriculture, rural development and youth, a Directorate of ICT, KASEDA, the Irrigation Development Authority, and new agencies for erosion control and small-town water.

For accountability, the Fiscal Responsibility Commission and HISBAH Board were established, and two oversight bodies, KTDMB and SPIME, track delivery. A State Secretariat of Climate Change and a Public Service Administration Reform Department complete the picture.
