It is with great pleasure and a sense of profound purpose that I stand before you today to launch the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association (NATA) Mechatronics Apprentice Support Program (MASP). This initiative represents a significant milestone in our collective efforts to empower our youth, drive economic growth, and foster innovation in Katsina State. As we gather here today, we are witnessing the convergence of vision, determination, and collaboration to address one of the most pressing challenges facing our society: unemployment among our youth. The launch of Mechatronics Apprentice Support Program emphasizes our unwavering commitment to provide practical solutions that empower our youth with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in today's dynamic economy. It is pertinent to know that all participants are drawn from across the 34 Local Government Areas of the State. The program represents a strategic partnership between Katsina State Government and NATA, harnessing the expertise and resources of both entities to create a pathway for young people to pursue careers in mechatronics, a field that lies at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. By equipping our youth with the knowledge and skills required for success in this high-demand industry, we are not only addressing the current skills gap but also positioning the State as a hub for innovation and technological advancement. Ladies and gentlemen, be assured that the present administration will provide a comprehensive training, mentorship, and support including monthly allowance to the aspiring mechatronics apprentices as well as ensure that they have access to quality education and practical experience that prepares them for meaningful careers in the automotive industry. Furthermore, the program will facilitate apprenticeships with reputable automotive workshops and businesses, enabling participants to gain hands-on experience and valuable insights into the intricacies of mechatronics.

Let me reiterates that the implementation of Mechatronics Apprentice Support Program embodies our commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development in the State. By prioritizing the participation of marginalized and vulnerable youth, including women and persons with disabilities, we are ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to benefit from this program and contribute to the socio-economic prosperity of our state.

As we launch Mechatronics Apprentice Support Program today, let us reaffirm our collective resolve to support our youth, unlock their potential, and build a brighter future for Katsina State. I call upon all stakeholders, government agencies, private sector partners, civil society organizations, and community leaders to join hands in championing this noble cause and ensuring the success of the program.

In conclusion, I extend my deepest gratitude to the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, the Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association, and all partners involved in the conception and implementation of Mechatronics Apprentice Support Program. With these few remarks, I pray for the successful conduct of the program and wish all participants a safe trip back to their respective destinations.

Thank you and God bless.
