Today marks another milestone in our administration's determination to provide quality infrastructure that improves the lives of our citizens and accelerates socio-economic development across Katsina State.

We are gathered here to formally commence the construction of twenty (20) township roads covering a total length of 10.7 kilometres, complete with modern solar-powered street lighting, at a total contract cost of ₦10.2 billion. The project will be executed by Mothercat Limited under the supervision of the Katsina State Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport.

This project is a testament to our administration's commitment to ensuring that every part of Katsina State benefits from meaningful development. Good roads are essential for economic growth, social interaction, security enhancement, and improved access to education, healthcare, and other vital services.

Since assuming office, our administration has continued to invest heavily in critical infrastructure across the state. Through our urban renewal programme and strategic road development initiatives, we are transforming the physical landscape of our towns and communities while creating an enabling environment for commerce and investment.

In addition to road construction and rehabilitation, our government has undertaken significant interventions in education, healthcare, agriculture, water supply, transportation, housing, youth empowerment, and security. These efforts are aimed at building a prosperous and inclusive Katsina State where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.

The roads to be constructed under this project will significantly improve mobility within Malumfashi town, reduce travel time, ease traffic congestion, and provide safer access to residential, commercial, educational, and healthcare facilities. The installation of solar street lights will further enhance security, extend business activities into the evening hours, and improve the overall aesthetics of the township.

Beyond the immediate benefits of improved transportation, this project will stimulate economic activities, create employment opportunities for our youths, support local businesses, and increase property values within the affected communities. It will also contribute to making Malumfashi a more modern, attractive, and economically vibrant urban centre.

I wish to commend the Honourable Commissioner, management, and staff of the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport for their dedication in the planning and implementation of this project. Their commitment continues to drive the successful execution of our infrastructure development under ‘Building Your Future Agenda’.

I also appreciate Mothercat Limited for partnering with the Katsina State Government in delivering quality infrastructure projects. We expect strict adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and completion timelines to ensure value for money and lasting benefits for our people.

To the good people of Malumfashi, I urge you to support this project and cooperate fully with the contractor and supervising engineers throughout the construction period. This project belongs to you, and its successful completion will require your collective support and ownership.

Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, our administration remains resolute in its mission to build a stronger, more prosperous, and more connected Katsina State. We will continue to invest in projects that improve the welfare of our citizens and lay the foundation for sustainable economic growth and development.

As we perform this ground breaking ceremony today, let us renew our shared commitment to the progress and development of our dear state.

On behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, I hereby perform the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of twenty township roads with solar street lighting in Malumfashi Local Government Area.

May Almighty Allah (SWT) bless this project with success, grant us the wisdom and strength to continue serving our people diligently, and continue to bless Malumfashi Local Government Area, Katsina State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thank you and May Allah bless you all.
