Honorable Members of the State House of Assembly,
Honorable Commissioners here,
Secretary to the Government of Katsina State,
Party Leaders and Chieftains
Traditional Rulers,
Distinguished Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I feel highly honoured to be here with you for the flag-off of road construction under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP). As you are all aware road construction is capital intensive and time consuming and that the result of the two components of road construction always end up in success.
Roads by their nature contribute a lot in opening and linking up of various communities such that the socio-economic activities of the end-users are always improved and developed effectively. Since this administration came into office, a lot of various developmental programs and projects have been executed and some others are still been executed for our people to enjoy the dividends of democracy across the length and breadth of our dear state.
Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, rural infrastructure and urban renewal programs will continue to get due attention from this administration so that impressive developments would reach the door steps of every area of part of the state. Road developments in particular boost economic activities and lessen the burden of transporting the goods and services and at the same time enhancing community inter-connectivity.
Let me therefore reiterate that this government will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the quality of the lives of the people is improved greatly.
At this point let me call on the benefitting communities to jealously look after every government project executed in their midst for durability and longer usage. A lot of money has been invested to ensure that this project comes into reality as such all stakeholders should do all that they could to prevent it from misuse and thwart the move by mischief makers or vandals to bring the project to its knees.
I wish to use this opportunity to commend our development partners and all other stakeholders for coming in to complement our effort in improving the quality of the lives of our rural communities in the provision of infrastructural facilities that will better their lives in all ramifications.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is pertinent to call on everyone in this corridor of the road (Sheme-Unguwar Maikanwa-Faskari) to continue to support government policies and programs that are always aimed at adding smiles and happiness to the end users.
In addition, I will like to give you glad tidings that still under this particular project the SHEME market will be upgraded to a modern market.
I wish to once again thank the Federal Government and our international donor partners for their support and collaboration in making RAAMP a reality and their huge contributions and shared commitment to improving the rural access and agricultural marketing are invaluable and unquantifiable
At this juncture, ladies and gentlemen I extend my deepest appreciation for your patience and support and that your resilience and hard work will keep on inspiring us every now and then in striving for a better and more prosperous Katsina. This gigantic project remains a testimony to our collective efforts and determination to build a state where everyone can thrive and develop his/her skills for peace, economic progress and stability
In conclusion, let us put in our mind that we’ll continue to work together to ensure the successful execution of this project, knowing that it will bring lasting benefits to our communities and pave the way for a brighter future.
Thank you all for listening.
