Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
It is with great pleasure and deep appreciation that I stand before you today at this special empowerment program, graciously organized by a committed and visionary legislator, Hon. Sani Aliyu Danlami. I congratulate him for this noble initiative aimed at uplifting the socio-economic well-being of the good people of Katsina Central Constituency.
This event today is not just a ceremony. It is a testament to the fact that leadership is about service, compassion, and action. Leadership is about bringing meaningful and tangible benefits to the people we are privileged to serve.
Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, our state, like the rest of Nigeria, faces serious economic and social challenges — poverty, unemployment, insecurity, and a struggling economy. However, I have consistently maintained that the solution lies within us. We must empower our people to be self-reliant, innovative, and productive.
Empowerment programs like today's are critical components of this solution. They help to bridge the gap between government policies and the real needs of the people. They offer the necessary tools, resources, and motivation for individuals to create wealth, employ others, and contribute to the growth of our communities.
Let me therefore commend Hon. Sani Aliyu Danlami for recognizing this need and taking proactive steps to address it. What he is doing today complements the broader agenda of our administration — to drive sustainable development through human capital development, agricultural transformation, youth and women empowerment, and the creation of enabling environments for small and medium enterprises to thrive.
Ladies and Gentlemen, as a government, we have rolled out several initiatives aimed at empowering our people. We have established the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA) to nurture entrepreneurship across the state. We are supporting farmers with improved inputs and linking them to markets. We are investing massively in education, health, infrastructure, and security — because we understand that no empowerment is complete without a solid foundation in these sectors.
Today's event is yet another building block in our collective effort to move Katsina State forward. It shows that when government officials, legislators, and community leaders work hand-in-hand, the results are impressive.
To the beneficiaries here today, I say: congratulations!
However, empowerment is not an end, but a means to an end. I urge you to use the resources and tools provided today judiciously. Use them not only to improve your personal lives but also to uplift others around you. Let the impact multiply across families, neighborhoods, and wards.
Our dream is to build a Katsina State where everyone — young or old, male or female — can fulfill their God-given potentials without hindrance. This dream requires hard work, unity, honesty, and resilience. I am confident that with the collective efforts of dedicated leaders like Hon. Sani Aliyu Danlami and responsible citizens like all of you, we will achieve it.
In closing, I reaffirm the unwavering commitment of my administration to support initiatives that promote empowerment, innovation, and inclusive development across Katsina State. Let us continue to support each other, to inspire each other, and to work tirelessly for a better future for all.
May Allah bless Hon. Sani Aliyu Danlami for his service.
May Allah bless Katsina State.
May Allah bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Thank you all. Wassalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu.
