Kamar yadda aka shirya gabatar da shi. Kalmomin da aka faɗa a ranar na iya ɗan bambanta.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful, we extend our deepest gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting us the strength, wisdom, and unity to witness the commissioning of the newly constructed KTSTA Sub-Stations at Mashi/Ingawa in Katsina State. This event marks an important milestone in the transformation journey of our state, highlighting yet another ambitious stride towards the "Building Your Future" agenda initiated by this administration.
Today, we celebrate not only the physical infrastructure before us but also the foundational values of service, resilience, and community that are at the heart of Katsina State's progress. These new substations are more than a transportation enhancement, they are critical investments that will facilitate regional connectivity, strengthen our economy, and improve the quality of life for our citizens.
As we stand here, it is a clear affirmation of our government’s resolve to address the pressing needs of our people through meaningful, actionable development. Infrastructure serves as the backbone of any thriving society, directly impacting economic growth, social mobility, and overall well-being. These KTSTA substations will enhance transportation access, provide safe and reliable transit options, and foster business and economic activities that will benefit individuals and communities across the state.
In our administration’s commitment to mitigating economic hardship, we took swift and decisive actions in response to the fuel subsidy removal, which brought substantial challenges to many citizens. Recognizing the immediate impact on transportation costs, we promptly initiated the procurement of 40 Toyota Hiace buses, each with an 18-seat capacity, for the Katsina State Transport Authority (KTSTA). This initiative aims to cushion the burden faced by our residents, offering them affordable, accessible transportation.
Furthermore, I have directed KTSTA management to sustain and accelerate this fleet expansion by purchasing additional buses every month. This ongoing effort will enable KTSTA to continue subsidizing fares, particularly on intra-state routes, where transportation is critical for millions of residents and non-residents alike who rely on these services for their daily business and personal affairs.
Today’s achievement would not have been possible without the active and invaluable collaboration among our transportation agency, private sector partners, and local communities. This project serves as a powerful testament to the impact of public-private partnerships in achieving infrastructure goals and fostering socio-economic growth. We are grateful to all stakeholders for their dedication, resources, and collective vision, which have enabled us to bring this project to fruition.
The commissioning of these substations is not an endpoint but a stepping stone in our journey to build a better future for Katsina State. Let us continue to work together to build on this momentum, fostering development and ensuring that every initiative we undertake serves to uplift our people and empower our communities.
In closing, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to this remarkable achievement. Let us remain steadfast in our mission to create a Katsina state that is prosperous,
Long live Katsina State! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
