The state government received 15 newly procured ambulances in January 2026 to strengthen emergency medical services.
Officials said they would be deployed to key health facilities and emergency response units across the state, with priority on rural and hard-to-reach communities, to cut response times for accidents, maternal emergencies and other life-threatening conditions.
